day - normal

Today was our first day with our dear freshmen. I felt dorky and wanted to take pictures of them all but I didn't; I didn't have my camera.
I have four hispanic students. Two girls and two guys. All of them ENL students. I am actually looking forward to help them so they can succeed and won't be made fun of; been there done that.

I went to Journalism and got there a little bit late. Since they were already doing work Ms. Jesse asked to see my ATM story which I didn't have with me. I told her so and she just told me to go and schedule an appointment with Ms. Bogard to talk about the ATM and Book Shortage. It's Thursday morning first period. Ms. Jesse wants a picture of her too. I don't want to take a picture of her.

Ms. Frank seems to be sick at the moment so we have a sub from England. She's okay. We had to copy down some transparencies. I wrote pretty fast because it's a skill I must master to interview people. And it's always fun to finish before everyone else.

In English we do stupid 5th grade stuff. Drawing pictures and writing sentences with new vocabulary. Come on people. And why are most black people so effing annoying?! There is no need to draw attention by being loud and disobeying school rules.

I was chastised during fourth period. Well, not really. I was just told by Ms. H, the bilingual assistant, that I am to help two ENL students whenever she's not there to help. I don't really care because Benje is there and I can talk to him while doing my duty.

Technicians is meh. Rookies are learning pretty fast though. I still think she should only have the veterans perform because of outfits and choreo, but that's just me.

Oh em gee! There was a fight during lunch today! Black people these days, I tell ya. And why is it always the ugly ones fighting? It's just an observation. Joshie was pretty flirty yesterday and today. Which is okay by me. But I sometimes don't know how to respond.

Japanese is always fun. It's because I'm the only advanced kid in there. But everyone else is doing pretty good. We are down to four students in the class! Nihongo ga dekimasu ne!

SMOGEE was okay today too. I am really into this environmental stuff and I don't know what to do. I know people won't listen to students. And Tech needs to start recycling! For real.
Summer wasn't there because she went home sick. What is this, her fourth day missing and it's only like the second/third week of school?

After school was my favorite part. I went to the National Honor Society meeting and I had just sat down when Ms. Jesse walked in there and asked if I could leave to go to The Cannon's meeting. I'm the Senior Editor! Yay. But apparently Adrian ran away, so now we are down to three writers! I might even take a third story. Gosh. It's so much.
The meeting was over so I went to the NHS meeting just in time to elect presidents. I voted for Emily. There was a tie between Emily and Mary, twice! So both of them just left the room and by a show of hands we decided on the President and Vice-President.
I was voted Secretary. I am so excited! I got my first assignment too: compile a directory of all members with their names, e-mail addresses and phone numbers. Pretty easy.
Latonya Yarbro is the Archivist. He explained what that was but all I got was that the Archivist is in charge of posters, advertisements, photo-taking and photo-keeping/scrapbooking. Pretty fun.

After that Audrey and I drove to the teachers parking lot. We had a deep conversation about the T-word. She did most of the talking, but I'm a good listener. I love Audrey. I don't want her to be angry or sad because of someone else. There's people who love her and support her.

Band was a mess today. Kind of. I am really excited but kind of scared too. I hope it all works out. I need to be able to do a back bend and be more flexible. Pretty cool.
One of the Band Geeks is pretty cute.

I need to start on my own projects. I promise myself I'll start taking pictures tomorrow! I need to go to Wal-Mart to buy paper though. -bites bottom lip- That can be done later.

At least I know someone read this! Love ya Apes! -helikoptuh-

Hmm..I think I may have a reasonable idea of what the 'T-word' is. And don't get to stressed out about the cannon, you are amazing and you will be able to handle it. Congrats on the NHS secretary thing. I wish I could be there with you...but unfortunately some of use are being treated unfairly, I feel.
