Back in Action

For tonight, thus far. I've been a little too busy with homework. I know, even though this was the first week of classes I already have homework and projects. I had a quiz today! My third day! Wow. But that's what we're here for. For our education, not to be wasting time.

At any rate, I think I'm going to summarize this month and the bit of August I forgot to talk about.

Tuesday 24th we all moved in. We spent the day trying to set up our own rooms, unpack, and also set up the living room and dining room. They're both really small but they work; they serve their purpose. The following days up to Friday afternoon we went around shopping for food and some house necessities. I feel like we didn't spend much since we shared the cost of everything.

Friday night was my fraternity's party. I guess it was just a way to kick off the year. They hosted it where their new house is. I'm hoping we can keep it throughout the years because it's huge and super nice. There were people everywhere! And alcohol couldn't avoid being there either.

Monday August 30th was our first day of classes. I only had two to attend to: Japanese and Calculus. I was looking tragic because I didn't want to waste an outfit: I was wearing jeans and a random gray shirt. But I still enjoyed myself and got back in action.

Tuesday I had five classes and that's when I decided to actually try and look good. So I put on the brand new shirt my roommate's mom sent me. It's pretty cute. And I put on some new tighter-than-I-usually-wear jeans. My brand new shoes were also enjoying the long walks. I looked good, hehe. I was complimented all day long that's why I'm so sure. I especially picked this day to dress nice because that's when a lot of people would see me and also my interior design courses are on this day; it's always a competition.

Today! Wednesday. I went to my Japanese expecting my quiz. I think I will be getting one thing wrong because I put "happy" instead of "glad." There is a difference. But oh well. I have another Japanese quiz on Friday, I'm sure I'll do fine. I also went and shipped a book to Cali then went to the library to research Walter Gropius. Yup.

Right now I'm just sitting taking a break because I have lots to do. Actually, I should get back to my pile of books.

I Sell Bibles

My parents were mocking me because I dressed up today to go to church. And I apparently looked like I was selling bibles or promoting Jesus Christ with fellow Jehovah Witnesses/Mormons. I liked my outfit though. And I'm wearing it on Tuesday (Homecoming Week: Dress Up Day) with a black tie. I'll look spiffy, I think. It's either that or the gray outfit I wore to Techoir with a gray scarf on top.

I had pancakes this morning. Squee. And yogurt. I made sure to save my "cure" lid to send over so Yoplait can donate money for further research on breast cancer.

Church was pretty cool today. The choir sounded amazing. We've improved a lot, and many in the congregation agree. We learned a new song today too. And we performed it. It used to take us three weeks to learn one song, now we just need 20 minutes. And we can divide into voices! Squee. I love us.

After that, some of the boys had a Boy Scout meeting. Me included. We planned for this month and the following. We are camping the weekend of Fall Break. Fine with me. We are also starting a Venture Group so that way girls in our congregation can be involved too. My scoutmaster says we can invite kids from high school too, and they cam be up to 21 in college. Audrey, April, Angie? Wanna have some wild fun? We do outdoor activities. Hit me up if interested.

After that we went to a birthday party. It was a girl's 4-year-old party. She's so cute. We got her The Little Mermaid. And oh-my-god the food was great! They had shrimp cocktails, awesome pico de gallo, shredded chicken, and much more. Oh yeah, cactus leaves (?). They are awesome. I was full!

Oh yeah, a bunch of Mexicans showed up at the same place and started rehearsing for a Quince. It was so tacky. White people were there too, and I was all "this is so embarrassing!"

Then we came home and left again for Wal-Mart. We bought The Mist and random household necessities.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. When? Sunday. Bring Your Book.

Testing!

Today my brother and I retook the ACT at IUPUI. We both agreed that we didn't probably do as well as we could've. I think the two parts that are really going to kill my score are the Math and Science parts. Both because I wasn't really engaged and I haven't done regular Math in over a year.
Both English parts were okay and I thought my essay was pretty good too. I don't think I should talk about the questions or the essay since I signed an agreement saying I wasn't going to do so; talk about the test, that is.
I kept thinking of Audrey while I was taking the Science part because I imagined her being short of temper this morning and being silly.
By the way, I kept singing Requieum 5 and Ave Maria throughout the whole test. That was really annoying.

After that, the whole family went to Taco Bell and got some"mexican" food. I love Taco Bell.
We then went shopping for gifts for one of my dad's friends. We got a him a shirt and a set of colognes.

So we went to the party somewhere up in Castleton. Not much to say. Ate, sat down to watch The Invasion and Transformers. I enjoyed it. They were nice people too.

My presence was just requested in the living room; my dad required my Twin-abilities; there's a belief in Mexico that one of two twins is able to alleviate bumps on arms/legs by spitting on the "thing" and rubbing it. I told him that grossed me out and so I didn't do it.
I was probably 6 when that was last requested of either of us. Even the neighbors went and saw us. Disgusting, huh?
