Every night so far I have been spending late nights reading and updating myself on blogs. I managed to update on blogger, and tumblr in one day and catching up on entries from February until now. That's a lot of reading but then again many of the sites I follow I do more because of inspiration.
I love collecting pictures to use as inspiration on future projects. I have too many now though and it's hard to go through all of them. I thought about one day organizing them by color but I just rather have them all together so I can look through them and see what I like.
My plans right now are to look for more interior design related blogs, especially ones that present computerized renderings of interiors. I want to see how intricate people can get when selling out their designs utilizing SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Revit.
I don't think I'll have a demanding job this summer, if I have one at all, so I'll have a lot of free time for all that. As well as to try and achieve my summer goals! :)

Summer Goals
I had mentioned this to one of my friends before but I actually want to accomplish a couple of things this summer.
- Learn AutoDesk’s Revit software
- Create more 3D renderings with AutoCAD
- Get a better grasp of Google’s SketchUp
- Start sketching; eventually leading up to a good sketch a day
- Create more 2D renderings with coloring pencils
- Scan all artwork
- Better my website
- Get an internship (?)
The last one is questionable simply because I should’ve already applied to firms but I didn’t. My interior design professor told me I should look for an internship so I can start adding to my résumé and portfolio.
These are all mainly to build on my skills and better myself for these coming years. I don’t think I did as well as I would’ve liked this semester. Hopefully I’ll be able to carry through with most of these!

Finally Time and Finally 20
It's the (third) weekend and I found myself with a little free time. I think it's more like me procrastinating on some projects.
I think it's safe to say that I've had a good start this semester. But there have been a couple of dramatizing (maybe exaggerating a little) events.
First I could not find my camera cord anywhere I looked! I started back home and looked through my drawer. You know? That drawer where you stash away everything!? Yeah. So I had to empty it out and look for it. No luck. So then I decided that maybe I had left it behind in my room in Bloomington. Once here I looked through all my stuff and again nothing. So I went home and looked downstairs and found a cord which ended up it was for our T1-84. Finally I decided to look through my brother's book bag because I had borrowed it once and guess what!? It was there! Ugh. Of course my brother had no idea it was there.
We have a super fun project in studio for interior design. It's a challenge because we have to make a chair out of cardboard. This chair has to be functional, meaning it has to hold at least one person. I came up with two designs but my professors picked the most interesting (and the one with the most problems) for me to better. It's coming along, I think. I just really need to work on it. I know for sure I can't leave that for last minute because I'd be dead.
Today I spent most of my day drawing some stairs (for my interior visualization class) and making tracks of difficult music I need to learn for a contest. It's even harder because I'm the only bass in the group. I'm still sticking with it though. It's beautiful music!
Oh yeah. My birthday was this Tuesday. I turned 20. We had a dinner at Cheeseburger and Paradise and then our roommate had made us some cake so most came home for more celebrating. Great times.

Ready for School
Tomorrow is the first day of class of this second semester. I'm really excited especially because I don't have super early classes and I'll have more time for myself and my loved ones, hehe.
I still have much more unpacking to do so right now I'm getting ready for my two classes tomorrow. Making sure I have the materials necessary for my interior visualization class.
My wisdom wound is coming along. I feel the stitches and they should be coming off by themselves. The pain medicine is definitely working and the only time I start feeling pain is when it's getting time to taking it again. I love it. And I only got enough for about a week so it shouldn't be taking that long to heal.
Meh, I just want a lollipop!

"Wisdom Tooth Be Gone!"
That's what I imagined my dentist saying while extracting my wisdom tooth.
I did pretty well, or so they said. I didn't complain at all when they stuck foot-long needs in my mouth or when they extracted the tooth.
"It's out!" One of the assistants said. Next thing I know the dentist is holding it up almost right in front of me. I couldn't believe he pulled that out of me! That thing was huge! But I'm a good boy and didn't cry one bit. I could tell when I got home that the anesthesia was wearing off because of the pain! But I took some pills right away and took a short nap. Then had some veggie soup and a plum. Much better.
That was pretty much all my day! Went to the doctor around 10:30 AM for my brother's appointment and went back around 1 PM for a dentist walk-in. I didn't go in until around 4 and was out by 5. Woke up around 8 and had some food and now time to go to bed again. I should be packing but sleep sounds much better.

Medical Check-Up and a Book
That's right! My last book got here today! I skimmed it all and it looks pretty okay. I don't know if I'll be keeping it for reference though, probably.
Speaking of books I've sold three through my Amazon account. Well they're all my brother's but still. We've sold three so far. Looking good.
I went to the clinic today and got a random check-up just because. I went ahead and got HIV testing just because it was free. And to know. I had to go through a counselor first who asked me serious questions about my sexual life. I thought the "Are you a prostitute?" one was kind of funny. She had to make those questions anyway. My results won't be in until a week from now and even then I have to go in person. And through the counselor whether or not it's positive or negative.

[insert title name]
I checked my missing book's information and noticed that they had given me a tracking number. So I tracked it and it's in Ohio right now. It came all the way from Idaho and spent two days in Washington. I was getting a little nervous that I wasn't going to get it in time! It should be here tomorrow.
I guess today was my last day getting up late. Woke up around noon and had lunch then we all went out. I bought a new pair of pajama pants and a white ink gel pen for my design course.
I finally changed the look of my blog. I liked the old one but it was getting old. Meh.

Art Supplies!
Today I went and bought newsprint paper and Bistrol Vellum. I think I bought the wrong kind though, it's supposed to be smooth :/ When I saw my list of supplies and saw "newspaper paper" I was excited because I've been keeping old newspapers and I figured I could just use those. Haha, no. I bought a 30 lb. packet. Almost like a huge sketchbook. I wonder what I will look like carrying that to class. We'll find out soon.
I also went ahead and bought my Prismacolor set there. Around $12 for 12. Whatever. At least I know these are brand new and all the pencils are present.
Oh, and at the store I saw these cute, tiny easels displaying tiny canvases with the name of the store spelled out. I think I wanna do that for friends! That'd be super cool! And only $2 per canvas and/or easel.
Eh. No doodles today. I was out giving out business cards for my dad's starting business. We'll see how we do this summer.

Deal or No Deal
My Interior Visualization course is asking for a set of Prismacolor pencils. We all know those can't be the most affordable coloring pencils but they are great quality. I found a Craigslist seller asking $45 for two sets; a 120 and a 12 ct. set.
I'm torn. I don't really know if I trust on how good they will be. She says the set of 120 has barely been used. But what if the colors are crappy? Or just not my taste. But it is a lot of pencils for $45.
I didn't do any doodling today! Ugh. But I did work (4 hours).
My voice is back. I still can't sing high though. I love how I use Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You to test my range, haha.
I went grocery shopping with my parents today. Not very fun but we needed to. But then we came home, and surprise surprise! I found three packages begging to be opened! They were my books for school! I'm still waiting for one more, and after that I am buying two more down in Bloomington. :/
Books! Yay! I'm such a dork.
Oh. I failed to attend my best friend's movie night because I started getting a really bad head and toothache. They're gone now -.-

The Second!
First Sunday of the year! And I failed to go to church. Well not really. The choir decided to take a break so I did too. Spent the day with my family (when do I not?). Went out and ordered a morral from a lady who is going to Mexico soon. It's a very lightweight book bag. I'm hoping for something toned-down, don't really want to go around turning heads for the wrong reasons. Because I do love to turn heads.
Last night I really couldn't sleep, which is why I posted in the morning. What did I do? I turned my lamp on and doodled. And since it was already Sunday I counted those doodles for Sunday :) They were pretty decent too. I just want to get in the habit of actually being able to fill up a page with wonderfulness. I get scared though. Scared that it might be "messed up" or something like that. I'm pretty sure somebody else would be fine with just scribbling away, but I find blank pages to be somehow sacred. Either do it right, or not at all. Makes sense, no?

01-01-11
I always say I'm making a big comeback and whatnot. Is it true? Not really.
Well it's, indeed, a new year. What did I do on my first day? A whole lot of nothing.
I woke up late (1:24 PM to be exact). Then I had some leftovers from last night's dinner. And then hung out at home watching different movies. Ugh, not a very productive day. Unless you count hunting the internet for cool pictures to go into several of my inspiration folders. And I think I'll count that, so scratch what I said before, the first day was a productive day.
I think I started/ended the year right/wrong. Both options for either. I had to work on Friday and I was only scheduled to work about six hours. But then I was asked to stay because someone was not going to show up, so I ended up working around 10 hours. Yeah, I ended the year off right!
I ended wrong because I got sick. I started losing my voice for some odd reason. I'm guessing it was a combination of being in the cold at work (working both drive-thru windows) and drinking cold beverages. I'm guessing I might be coming down with the flu. I just hope it comes and goes by the time I start school because being sick in class is not very pretty. This is the same reason why I said I started the year off wrong. But not my fault, right? I can barely talk. Let alone sing, and I love to sing.
I set some resolutions (in my head because on paper I would've felt compromised. Smart, right? I know). And I want to start doodling, or creating at least something nice everyday. Today I waited until it was very late and only doodled a fishie that I saw on a Tom & Jerry cartoon.
I usually try to copy what I see. I'll work on developing my own style later. Haha.
Oh well. Time for bed. Well, trying. :/

Back in Action
For tonight, thus far. I've been a little too busy with homework. I know, even though this was the first week of classes I already have homework and projects. I had a quiz today! My third day! Wow. But that's what we're here for. For our education, not to be wasting time.
At any rate, I think I'm going to summarize this month and the bit of August I forgot to talk about.
Tuesday 24th we all moved in. We spent the day trying to set up our own rooms, unpack, and also set up the living room and dining room. They're both really small but they work; they serve their purpose. The following days up to Friday afternoon we went around shopping for food and some house necessities. I feel like we didn't spend much since we shared the cost of everything.
Friday night was my fraternity's party. I guess it was just a way to kick off the year. They hosted it where their new house is. I'm hoping we can keep it throughout the years because it's huge and super nice. There were people everywhere! And alcohol couldn't avoid being there either.
Monday August 30th was our first day of classes. I only had two to attend to: Japanese and Calculus. I was looking tragic because I didn't want to waste an outfit: I was wearing jeans and a random gray shirt. But I still enjoyed myself and got back in action.
Tuesday I had five classes and that's when I decided to actually try and look good. So I put on the brand new shirt my roommate's mom sent me. It's pretty cute. And I put on some new tighter-than-I-usually-wear jeans. My brand new shoes were also enjoying the long walks. I looked good, hehe. I was complimented all day long that's why I'm so sure. I especially picked this day to dress nice because that's when a lot of people would see me and also my interior design courses are on this day; it's always a competition.
Today! Wednesday. I went to my Japanese expecting my quiz. I think I will be getting one thing wrong because I put "happy" instead of "glad." There is a difference. But oh well. I have another Japanese quiz on Friday, I'm sure I'll do fine. I also went and shipped a book to Cali then went to the library to research Walter Gropius. Yup.
Right now I'm just sitting taking a break because I have lots to do. Actually, I should get back to my pile of books.

Going to Sleeping Bag
Yeah, I'm not going to bed right now. Why!? Because it's packed!!! That's right. It's all disassembled and loaded on the trailer for tomorrow. So I'm laying here on my sleeping bag, not in because it's too hot.
Some unfortunate events happened tonight though. Arguments. But that's what families do, right? They argue and they go back to loving again.

Last Day
Today was my last day at work. This time I actually felt a little sad because I might not go back next year. After almost two years, I only work summers or when on school break, I'm still getting paid minimum wage. I'm a great employee, if I do say so myself! I can do almost anything except food assembly. And that angers me. They've also been hiring new people and keep cutting my hours. So I think my best option is to just look for another job. I might want to become a waiter or something. Tips are great! Hehe
I'm not sure if I mentioned it before but I'm super excited to start school again. I know for a fact that on my second day I will start on my design projects! My muse always comes at midnight and gives me ideas on creating a special container to hold 2-6 "healthy" drinks. An expandable container, maybe.

Child Prodigy
Wouldn't you have loved to be known, at an early age, for something great! Like those kids on AGT and BGT who sing their little hearts out and earn the judges and audience's respect. A little artist just came up! His name is Kieron Williamson! He paints from photographs which I think is great, and that kind of answers my questions: is it illegal if you draw/paint from a copyrighted image. My safest bet is to think that the picture might have been taken by his immediate family so not much suing going on there. As for now I think I'll just stick to sketching from copyrighted images. They won't be complete drawings and will most likely be vague in some areas. Pretty safe, I believe.
Reading back on this entry, this is more about me than about the child prodigy. Heh.

Finally Here
My college books are finally here! Well, the ones I ordered through Amazon. I've yet to buy my Japanese text and workbooks as well as a 6th interior design book >_>. I've already leafed through most of my textbooks and decided to keep some of them for myself. 101Things I Learned in Architecture School's first chapter is on drawing lines. That one I'm just going to read and sell it eventually. It's a pretty book though.
I'm so excited for this year! And I'm hoping to pass Calculus with at least a C >_<
Ehhh...I've been putting Japanese off all summer. I think I have a lot to read otherwise I'll be dragging behind during class, never mind the fact that the class is in Japanese!
These two are my favorite books. The blue one is pretty big and heavy and explains how every detail goes. It even has sections on minimum requirements to accommodate wheel-chaired people. The green one explains how everything is drawn and labeled in floor plans as well as elevations.
I need to start sketching. A sketch every day will help me get better. It's supposed to.

From Japan and McDonald's
My friend Haruka Uchida is back in America! She was about three years ago as an exchange student.
She is back until Wednesday and that's upsetting. But the good news is that she will be studying in Colorado for one year. She will definitely be a lot closer than what she used to be! She even said she might come back to Indy for Christmas!
Last night some friends invited me to hang out with them and Haruka. We went to play pool, and only two in the group really knew what they were doing :/ But it was fun! My only victory was against Haruka, hehe. I had never been to one of those pool places. We paid with quarters! ^__^ I came back home around 2:30 AM. It was great.
Ehhh, I might have someone being too friendly on the side as well. Hope no drama comes from this.
I took pictures, but they're not on my computer. Tisk tisk.
Today was fun at work! I like working there when there's people to laugh with. Fellow employees to share impolite comments about impolite customers. But that's everywhere, for sure.
And I was being teased today: apparently I flirt too much. I guess I just get carried away~! Oh well ^__^ It might work someday, haha.

Loving the Layouts
I'm loving this new layout I have.
I revisited my blogger to read up on posts and decided I was tired of having links on my own layout so I'm using to use the ones blogger has. It's a combination and I think it looks great! Plus, I did it to secretly celebrate my comeback! I think I am ready to keep up with blogger and my Tumblr.
I also think I have another post to follow on where I left off yesterday. Yay! ^__^
Quick shout out to Katie for being here! Thanks!

I Am Sorry
Forgive me, my rather loyal followers (if any exist). I have forgotten all about blogging.
I blame Facebook, really, what else? That's one of the reasons I hate that social site. But I can blog on that later!
I've been trying to become famous, haha. How? No idea. I, along many thousand others, got a Twitter account and decided to ramble on random stuff (don't we all?). I even started designing and making myself different twitter backgrounds. I even tried to design some for friends so that people would ask them where they got it from and they'd come to me. Business, you see. I'm just another college student trying to make a living off this land. But I don't live in a desert. . .
But I forgot my Twitter account also. I mainly use it to follow artists, mainly Shakira and Lady Gaga. And of course, I want to take a short moment to applaud Lady Gaga for hating SB 1070, along with many others. She did it during her concert in Arizona! Isn't that great!? Anyway, back to my abandonment. So next I heard of was Tumblr. I went and got that too. I actually like it, it's just like a mixture of Twitter and a blog. You can "reblog" someone. It's just great and easy to work with. They also have many different Tumblr layouts that you can either get for free or pay for.
I guess I also haven't been writing anything because I simply have nothing to write about. Where do I live? Indiana, also known as Naptown. That's right. We nap up in this mofo. Well, I rather not. I think napping is a waste of time. Seriously. I even think sleeping is a waste of time! If only my eyes could stay open for more than 23 hours! I live a normal life, for lack of a better description. I wake up, eat, work (every other day because I guess I'm not that needed), eat again, and go back to sleep. Again and again. Boring, huh? I'm also trying not to go out as much because I can't afford to be spending money. I need it all for college expenses. I've already spent over $560 on rent, some tuition, and five books (my cheapest book was $2! I spent more on S&H!). I have to pay a little over a thousand before August 10th as well. Thankfully along came SADCO.
Sociedad Amigos de Colombia (Friends of Colombia Society, in English) granted me a $1,600 scholarship. I got my first half this July during a picnic at which they celebrated Colombia's independence. I will obtain my second installment during my second semester after I prove I've kept above a 3.5. I'll do just that.
I think I'll stop here for now, I'll continue tomorrow! Yay for self-promises!
